Humiliation for Cameron as net migration hits 298,000, TREBLE what he promised as number from the EU hits record high.
David Cameron is facing humiliation today as the level of net migration was revealed to be three times higher than his promise of 'tens of thousands'.
Latest figures show 298,000 more people arrived in Britain than left in the year to September, as the numbers arriving from the rest of the EU hit a record high.
The data is humiliating for the Prime Minister, who promised voters he would tackle immigration: 'No ifs. No buts.'

Tut tut tut, must do better with those 'promises'.

Cheap workers = more British people unemployed so it's a farce.

All about big business, get as many foreigners in Britain as they can possibly fit and as many people on shit cheap wages and zero contract. Tories/Labour both basically the same view on immigrants - the more the better.

Agreed Hani but surely it will create a longer term problem with British workers being unemployed thus costing the country more in benefits?

It was a stupid promise to make and it's rebounded on us completely.
When Yorkshire is creating more jobs than France it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out people will want to come here for work.
There's two options here.
1. leave the eu like ukip won't and have an Australian points base system. Australias population has one in four people being born overseas.
2. stop paying benefits to immigrants which make it worthwhile to move here while at the same time having British people who can work on job seekers allowance sitting at home .
it's pretty simple, a growing economy attracts more international workers. We need further welfare and education reforms so more of the jobs goto British people (which but the way they have been with 75% going to Brits since 2010).

Well we aren't full as they aren't all living in the streets but if yiyou're suggesting mentor immigration has caused pressure on public services then only an idiot would disagree with you on that.
It's painfully obvious that more people coming into a country means more people using the nhs and other public services.
